In Part I we’ve registered a domain and web hosting and now we’re finally going to do something with it. I’m going to show you how to setup email accounts for your domain in this part.
It’s necessary that you have a domain in order to follow this tutorial, so If you haven’t got one check Part I again.
Step 1 – Login
Go to your Bluehost control panel and login with your credentials.
Step 2 – Email
Click on the Emailaccounts link in the Email section of your control panel.
Step 3 – Choose your email address
Choose the right domain in the drop down menu (if you have multiple domains on your Bluehost account) and type the address you want.
Then pick a password and choose whether or not you want to limit the size of your mailbox,
Since Bluehost gives you unlimited disk space there’s no need to limit it in my opinion. So I would just go with Unlimited, but feel free to set a limit if you want.
Hit the Create Account button and: BAM! you’re done!
That was easy, right?
But now: how to check your email?
Bluehost did a great job at simplifying the setup of email for you and that’s why they create a mail.yourdomain.com subdomain by default.
So that’s it for this part.
I’ll be back with Part III very soon, in this part we will create the actual website.
